AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): At least 43 Palestinians were injured by Israeli live bullets and rubber-coated steel bullets, during protests alongside the eastern borders of the besieged Gaza Strip, on Friday afternoon.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that 43 Palestinians, including three paramedics and two journalists, were injured by Israeli forces’ fire.
Israeli forces opened live fire, rubber-coated steel bullets and tear-gas canisters to suppress protesters.
The injured journalists were identified as Ahmad Ghanem, a reporter for the Al-Mayadeen TV, and journalist Muhammad Abu Qadus.
Additionally, at least three ambulances were directly hit by tear-gas canisters.
“The Great March of Return” protests were launched on March 30th by thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza — which has suffered from a decade-long Israeli siege — who took to the borders to demand their right of return as refugees to their original homelands, now in present-day Israel.
