TenderSpace, the online collaborative hub for the construction industry, has welcomed the creation of a coalition of companies working to eradicate conflict from the construction industry.
Professional and membership bodies such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), ICE, CIArb, ICES, DRBF, RIBA and ICC, Transport for London (TfL) and Network Rail (NR) have formed a coalition to produce a major shift in the culture of the construction industry, to make harmful and expensive disputes a rare occurrence.
The key objectives of this coalition are to promote a more collaborative working culture in the UK construction space, help reduce legal spend in the industry and protect brand reputations.
The coalition aims to create a step change in the culture of the UK construction industry, away from combative and dispute-heavy business relationships to a more collaborative partnership approach.
“TenderSpace, one of the first “Tech Affiliates” of RICS was created to help the construction supply chain collaborate transparently, openly and fairly,” explains David Stapleton, chief executive of TenderSpace.
“Conflict is so destructive to the construction industry, but these intiatives, couple with technology will provide a long term solution.”
Thanks to its ‘Finance Checker’ service, TenderSpace gives construction companies the ability to check the credit rating of potential project partners, main contractors and supply companies.
It will also notify you if there is any change to a credit rating, helping users to protect their businesses and make more informed decisions about who to work with.
